Ready to ED

Ready to ED is a 3-day skills-intensive training program designed to address the systemic lack of representation of executive leaders of color across Pennsylvania's progressive advocacy ecosystem. This training program prepares Staff of Color who currently occupy mid-level managerial positions to compete for and assume executive leadership roles within the progressive advocacy space. This training is provided at no cost to participants who are currently employed by advocacy organizations within Pennsylvania.

      • Basics: PA Nonprofit landscape, Role of Unions

      • Messaging & Comms: Jargon, Media and Social Media

      • Executive Role: Org structure, strategizing, planning, & prioritization

        • Financial budget basics, internal change management

        • Coalition building

        • Inclusive and equitable hiring and organizational policies

      • Self-care and mutual mentorship
